Valencia CF receive 'Deporte en Positivo' Award at the AS Sport Awards gala
The Club was represented by Rubén Iranzo in this eighteenth edition with a solidarity aspect for flash floods
Valencia CF, along with Valencia Basket Club, Levante UD and Paiporta CF, received the ‘Sport in Positive’ award at the 2024 AS Sports Awards gala. An award in tribute to the collective spirit that shows that ‘together we are stronger’. The Club was represented by VCF Mestalla player Rubén Iranzo.
This eighteenth edition has had a solidarity aspect under the slogan ‘With Valencia in our hearts’ in which the victims have been remembered, as well as the people and Valencian sport affected by the devastating flash floods that hit many municipalities in the Valencia region.
One of the towns most affected by this terrible flash flood was Picanya, the home town of VCF Mestalla captain Rubén Iranzo and his family. An unimaginable and hellish experience to which he has given visibility in this special ceremony of Diario AS.
‘Little by little we are seeing the light. These have been complicated times, a catastrophe of a magnitude that we never imagined and little by little we will get out of this. Together we are stronger and we will surely get through this’, says Iranzo.
